Why Do Most People Who Try Affiliate Marketing Fail?
by: Anita Buchan

Isn’t affiliate marketing great? You get to sleep late, sit around all day, and only occasionally have to pop over to the computer to check how much money you’ve made in the last hour. A job anyone would kill for.

Except that that’s not quite the truth.

Many of you will have a rather different experience of affiliate marketing – one involving lost money, scams, and endless frustration when the profits you were told you would make just never appear. Others will never have got to that stage, but they’ll still have the same feeling: that all affiliate marketers are scammers, selling a dream that is impossible for most to achieve.

If you’re feeling like that, stop it. Because it’s not true. Affiliate marketing is difficult. But it’s not impossible, and not all the ‘gurus’ are scammers. Some are genuine, and really will help you, if you let them. It is possible to succeed.

So why do most wannabe affiliate marketers fail?

1. They give their money to scammers who then give them useless information.

Many scammers, after they’ve taken your money, will offer a cheap e-book to download. Sometimes this is stolen from another site, but more often it’s something they’ve written in twenty minutes when they remembered that they needed to offer people something. That means it will be filled with useless information that the scammer probably knows nothing about – and if you try to follow it, you might soon conclude that affiliate marketing is impossible and you were a fool for even trying.

2. They don’t have enough patience.

It takes time for the money to start coming in. You need to build up a steady stream of traffic and a mailing list before you can think about earning serious cash. When they only earn a few dollars a day, or fail to receive the thousands they were expecting, many people get disillusioned and decide that they’re better off with the day job.

3. They don’t follow the instructions properly.

I know. Why would you spend your money on an affiliate marketing course only to ignore what it says? But people do. They think they know better than the pros who have been doing this for years. And they usually end up making a mess of it, losing money on unprofitable advertising techniques that don’t work. But, of course, they don’t blame themselves and go back to try to work out where they went wrong. They blame the course they bought, and decide it must have been sold by a scammer – a scammer, like everyone else who claims they make a living affiliate marketing!

4. They think they’re not clever or skilled enough.

Normally, they’re wrong. Affiliate marketing really is very simple. You need intelligence and initiative to become one of the top affiliates, yes – but if you just want to earn some extra money, all you need to do is follow instructions. Buy an affiliate marketing course and do what it says. Too many people sit there and think ‘I can’t’.

5. They decide it’s too much work.

They get taken in by the promises that they can make money going to the cinema, watching TV, washing their hair. In truth, there’s a bit of work to do before you get to that stage – like setting up a website and promoting it, for starters! As soon as they realise that it’s not going to be as easy as they thought, they give up. The truth is, there’s no such thing as money you don’t have to work for (lottery winners excluded!).

Did you notice anything these five reasons have in common?

All of them involve people giving up.

Whatever the reason, if you give up, you’re not going to become a successful affiliate marketer. Fact is, nothing worth having is easy. Being an affiliate marketer is worth it – not just the money, but the excitement of seeing your list grow and traffic rise. And it’s not easy. Most affiliate marketers had to work hard and experienced plenty of failure along the way. You’ve got to be ready for that as well.

Most wannabe affiliate marketers fail because most affiliate marketers give up. You make sure you’re not one of them.

Do You Have Affiliate Marketing Plan Yet? This May Help You…
by: Joe Stewart

Alright, you’ve made the decision that you want to make money on the Internet. Great! That’s fantastic that you’ve made the decision to take contraol of your life and your finances. I just have one question for you. Do have an affiliate marketing plan written up yet? I’m assuming that you’ll be starting off as an affiliate marketer because this is how most people start out. Anyway, do you have any clue how you’re going to get this thing going? Let’s take a look at a few things that you’ll need to consider before you begin.

Do you know what it is that you’d like to promote? If so, have you done adequate research to determine that there’s enough of a market in order to build your business? If not, do you know how to properly research a market in order to determine if it’s potentially profitable or not? You’ll need to either know how to do this or have someone you can trust show you how before you can do anything. Don’t just start throwing money and spending your time without having a structured plan.

Have you researched different affiliate programs to determine if there’s more than one in your market? Competition is good my friend. It means that people are making money. If there are only one or two affiliate merchants in the niche you are considering you might want to look into something different, while monitoring your chosen niche for positive activity. If it starts picking up then you’ll be ready to jump in, but if not you’ve saved yourself time and money.

Are you going to build your own website or have it done for you? Are you going to be writing your own web copy or outsourcing it? Are you aware of the expense involved with this, especially for professional copywriting? If so, have you allowed for it in your budget?

I’m not trying to be negative by hitting you with all of these questions. I just want you to be aware of what you’re getting into and I want to make sure that you don’t just jump into Internet Marketing like some crazy person (me) and start throwing money around blindly, only to find that six months and whole lot of money have gone by without getting much accomplished. Take a look at what I talked about before and start writing stuff down. Do some research and figuring exactly how much this is going to cost to get you started. You can get a blog for free and just start writing about your topic by educating others. A lot of people have made it big by doing this alone and that won’t cost hardly anything to get started. Just get your affiliate marketing plan in order and start taking action!

3 Easy Steps To Find The Right Affiliate’s For Your Internet Marketing Business

What are the right affiliates for ur internet Marketing Business? Can u get paid every month by them or just once?Do they offer good quality products and services?

3 Easy Steps To Find The Right Affiliate’s For Your Internet Marketing Business? by Tyron Clark

Are you having trouble finding the right affiliates for your online business? There are a lot of them out there. Some good; some bad. So how do you go about sifting through all of the fluff to find the ones that are good?

STEP 1

You need to know what there compensation plan is. It should be a win, win for both of you. If you are doing all of the work to get people into their program you should be getting compensated well for doing so. Don’t fall for the guaranteed riches. Unfortunately there is no magic pill to getting rich. You actually have to do some work to earn money. If you find the right affiliates you won’t have to work very hard. I like SFI because there is no start up cost, and you don’t have to even have a website to do it. There compensation plan works on a team effort. This means you get paid for someone else’s work. SFI is the easiest affiliate company to grow that I have found. Check them out here to learn more about them.

STEP 2

Would you rather get paid one time for a sale or every month for the same sale? Exactly! You want to make sure you are earning a residual income. Some companies only pay you for the initial sale. I stay away from those ones. I would rather make money every month. It is 9 times easier to keep an existing customer than it is to find new ones. I like success university because they follow up with your clients for you every month so you don’t even have to do a thing unless you wish. Plus they have some awesome training programs and you can try it for only $2 for 2 weeks to see if you like it. Success University is definitely the fastest growing business out there.

STEP 3

Check out to see what kind of products or services they offer. If you wouldn’t buy from them, how can you expect other people to? The better the services they offer the longer people stay which means more profits for you. Remember, you want a residual income coming in each and every month. You want your customers to keep buying. Make sure the affiliate company doesn’t over promise and under deliver. The affiliate company is representing you, and customers do not stick around if you aren’t fulfilling what you promised them.

One Last Reminder

Now I have given 2 of the companies that I use. You can use them or find your own. SFI is by far the easiest business to grow. Success University is the fastest growing one and also pays the best out of any I have ever seen. One of the most important pieces of advice I have received on investing was by billionaire Sir John Templeton. “He said just do it”.

Sure, “Just do it”, this is a significantly very good advice because the real failure is the failure to try.

How To Quit Your Job By Earning Residual Income Online

Can someone quit his day job and work on line ? Can someone earn residual income on line?

How To Quit Your Job By Earning Residual Income Online
By Marcus Cox

Tell someone that they can quit their day job by working online and they will probably laugh at you. Most people still believe that working online is something of a myth and out of reach for ordinary people. But right now, programs that offer affiliates a residual income each month for promoting their products has never been more popular. In this article we are going to look at how anyone can earn a residual income online.

Residual income – what is it? Residual income is a payment that you receive on a regular, on going basis. Compare it to the wage you might get working full time, where you know you will get paid each week, or each month, for doing your job. The great thing about promoting services that offer this kind of affiliate payment online is that they are often associated with membership programs where people join because they have a keen interest in a particular topic.

Now membership based programs like this are a lot more common than what you might think. As someone who promotes these services online, I can tell you that the topics can vary greatly with anything from learning how to ride a horse properly, to learning how to write like a professional author. The very fact that people are prepared to pay a monthly fee to be part of an online community that focuses on their interests, means that you have a fantastic opportunity to earn money by promoting that service to them.

Let’s consider an example, say Origami. Now pretend that I’ve set up a great new site SimpleOrigami.com, which is membership based website that offers new tips and techniques every month. I’m offering my affiliates 50% of the payment members make each month, and let’s say the membership fee is $20 per month. So, you would get $10 per month.

Now after you’ve done a bit of investigating, you realise that 100,000 people a month are searching for tips on Origami. Using free methods such as article writing, forum signatures etc, you can attract those interested in Origami to your affiliate link for the membership program. Now if you managed to attract just 1% of that audience and they decided to become a member, you’ve just set up $10,000 worth of residual income!

Now that is just purely an example, and of course it’s highly unlikely that you will be able to attract even 1% of an audience online. But when you consider the increasing popularity of membership-based websites nowadays, the chances of earning residual income online have suddenly become very easy. And if my Origami example doesn’t convince you, consider markets like online dating agencies, website hosting providers and distance learning courses. They all attract massive audiences each month and offer some incredible residual income opportunities.

So there you have it, earning online is certainly not the myth many people might think it is. More importantly, earning a residual income online is fast becoming the easiest way to quit your day job online.

whether u are a newbie, a Marketor, or someone else u can make money on line if you can
manage your  time, work, and money.

Online Home Business Marketing Ideas And Tips For Affiliates

Herewith is another awsome article that I would like to share with u because it seems very interesting

Online Home Business Marketing Ideas And Tips For Affiliates
by: Cynthia Minnaar

A huge amount of time and effort goes into the advertising and marketing of an online home business so herewith some online business marketing ideas and tips for affiliates to ensure you get the maximum out of your online promotions.

Unfortunately there are people using the internet who are dishonest and will have no hesitation in changing affiliate links. Affiliate links are easily changed so it is strongly advised that you cloak your links prior to starting any advertising in order to avoid the loss of commissions. You can do this through your hosting panel if you own your own domain or by using tinyurl.com.

It is really important to check that all the links on your website as well as your affiliate links are working as there is nothing more off putting to a potential customer to click on a dead link. If you search on Google for `link checker` or `link validator` you will find some really helpful free online tools to check the links on your website.

It is not unusual for sites to go down for some reason or another, for example they may be having server problems and if that is the case you need to be in a position to immediately pause your marketing campaigns during the period the site is offline. You certainly do not want to be paying for clicks to a dead link. If you are using pay per click advertising (PPC) you can access your account and temporarily disable the display of your advert.

The same applies to credits you may have accumulated or purchased in the traffic exchanges. For example Traffic Swarm offers a facility where you can temporarily disable the display of your link. Once the site is back online you can then simply log in to your account and enable the links again. Most classified advertising sites also give you the option to open an account which will enable you to make changes to your adverts and put them on hold if necessary.

It is also unfortunate that some programs are short lived on the internet and so it is important that you ensure that you are not promoting an affiliate program that no longer exists.

If you are considering purchasing targeted traffic then be sure you will be given access to a panel where you can check your stats and change the targeted website if necessary.

Sure there are going to be places that you are promoting your online home business and affiliate links that you will not be able to change immediately, but at least for any paid advertising it is advisable to only use services whereby you have access to your account in order to be able to control when your adverts run.

Also be sure to read emails that you receive from the affiliate programs that you are marketing as they may include important information regarding changes to their links or advertising materials such as banners and landing pages. It is advisable to upload any banners you are using to your own hosting account so that in the event of the affiliate program discontinuing a banner your link will not be affected.

One of the very important things I have learnt while growing my own online home business is that you need to be in control of as much as possible on the internet and you can achieve this to a certain extent by owning your own domain. You then have more control of your online home business marketing and will be able to promote all your affiliate links on one website and be in a position to instantly access your hosting panel to change, cloak and redirect affiliate links.

There were some useful tips and tricks to benefit honestly from affiliate marketing.

Tactical Steps To Succeed In Affiliate Marketing by wilson agbeyegbe

Posted by prettygood07 on November 23, 2007

flash.jpg

I have found an extremely important article on line giving the most important steps to succeed in Affiliate marketing:

Tactical Steps To Succeed In Affiliate Marketing by wilson agbeyegbe

It is said that only 18% of affiliates are making 95 percent of the earnings from affiliate marketing, Ironic but true. You would almost certainly want to be one of those 18 percent that are earning the 95 percent of the total earnings. Who wouldn’t?

Here are some tactical steps you can take to boost your Affiliate Income

1. Always cover your Affiliate links: Cloaking affiliate links may not seem necessary, but it actually is. Apparently, visitors will not tend to click on your link when they see that it is leading to an affiliate program on your site once they point their mouse over them. so it is better you cloak your link, one of the best ways to do it is to use tinyurl and it is free

2. create and distribute articles: Writing articles related to your niche is necessary to expand your reputation as a specialist in your field. You not only benefit just from writing these articles but also from getting those articles published and reprinted by other site owners and ezine publishers. Your articles will then give you both reputation and links from other web sites because of the resource box attached at the each of each article.

3. Focus on a market niche: Loading your site with content that is focused on a certain product or service niche is one way of getting more web traffic in your target market. Most affiliates try to dominate all fields at once and end up performing poorly, you should determine a niche pick 5 products related to that niche and stick to it

4. Use Autoresponders: Autoresponders are important tools that makes you capable of sending a timed series of email messages to those persons that signed up for them. this is a must have for any aspiring affiliate,

5. Build your list: Everyone agrees that “The money is in the list”, although This is related to point 4 in a way, but building your list goes beyond auto-responders as an affiliate a list is a must have, if you don’t have one start building it today

6. Promotion: As an Affiliate every option must be used whether it is ppc, ezine advertising, safelists, solo-ads among others. You most do everything possible both free and paid to promote you product, this is what normally differentiates the guru’s from newbies

I hope this 6 simple steps would help you increase your Affiliate revenue.

I personnaly think that it is the most exciting and interesting article that I have ever read so far this month.
